Welcome to the wonderful world of homeschooling

I am so glad that you found this blog. I am a veteran homeschool mom. Helping others do what I have found to be one of the most rewarding endeavors ever is what I want to do.

Homeschooling can seem intimidating. If you think about the magnitude of what you are embarking on for too long, you could talk yourself out of doing it. Don’t do that. If you have been thinking about homeschooling and are ready to walk through that door, do it. Your homeschool journey began when you brought your child home from the hospital. Now you are just formalizing it. You are dotting i’s and crossing t’s for the state, and giving your children one of the greatest gifts ever, the desire and ability to become a life long learner.

At homeschooling as a lifestyle, I will share tips and information with you to help you teach your children well, and be confident and comfortable doing it.

Know this, It is possible to homeschool your children. It will be challenging. Is there anything worthwhile in life that isn’t? You will laugh, and maybe sometimes cry. I did. You will get angry, play, and at times feel lost. I did. But if homeschooling is your desire, you can do it well. I’m happy to say, I did that too. Now, I want to help you. It’s your turn.

Feel free to reach out to me with specific questions. I will tell you what I know. Now, take a deep breath, and begin a journey of a lifetime with your most precious ones. Homeschooling is so much more than academics. It is a lifestyle.

About Me

About Me
Hi, My name is Ruth Hoskins. I am a veteran homeschooling Mom. My husband and I taught our children from birth through highschool. We did this without having an educational degree or certificate. It was one of the most rewarding and challenging endeavors ever! I want to encourage others who have a desire to homeschool their children to go for it. The benefits are so much more than academic achievements. Oh, did I mention that both daughters graduated college with honors? Just a little brag on our babies. You can homeschool your children.
